It’s About Time!

it's about time blogFor the longest time and since they took away our ability to edit a re-tweet, I have made a mental note about how much I hate not being able to add my comments to something I feel is worthy to re-tweet to my followers.   On many occasions and from many sources of thought leadership we have heard about how important it is to have your own voice.  It is semi-pointless to just push out other people’s thoughts as that will eventually get you eliminated as a resource.  Why would anyone follow you if you just regurgitate other people’s stuff.  They wouldn’t.  Now, not everyone has time to conjure up original content.  In fact it can be quite time consuming.  I for one troll LinkedIn posts for ideas and then take the concepts and share my thoughts on the subjects.  That is what makes me different from those pushing data out.

Twitter has just recently reinstated our ability to add a separate and unique comment to our re-tweets.  This is HUGE and quite overdue.  I for one am pleased at having this capability returned and use it all the time to share with added thoughts.  Bravo on figuring this out Twitter.  Welcome back to the game.
